What you’ll do

  • Under general supervision, perform finance and accounting assignments that may include tax, advisory and/or audit assignments.
  • Develop quality client relationships and partner to best serve their needs
  • Meet quality and timing targets
  • Consult with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities.
  • Review previous tax returns and financial documents to identify missing or incomplete information or documentation.
  • Review all supplied financial information for accuracy.
  • Use various accounting technology to prepare tax returns, and submit for review.
  • Calculate taxes owed or refunds due to client; consult tax law publications for guidance on unusual situations.
  • Maintain understanding and knowledge of changes in law/compliance by reading professional literature or attending seminars and training courses.
  • Travel occasionally (typically same-day, limited overnights) for work at client’s location, firm meetings and/or seminars.

What you’ll need

  • A strong alignment and willingness to consistently demonstrate Forge’s core values.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance accounting or similar degree required.
  • CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA exam is preferred.
  • Entry level or up to 3 years prior experience (which may include internship experience)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Teams, Share Point, etc) and the ability to stay ahead of the curve with continual technology advancements.
  • Business and financial statement analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Growth mindset required.
  • Ability to execute and effectively collaborate virtually.
